The training is intended for 2-6 month old puppies whose owners want to create a common language of communication and a mutually beneficial relationship with their dog.
Course topics:
- dogs' needs, body language, communication methods, different signals
- how to praise and reward, what are hot/cold rewards, when a treat works and when it doesn't
- how to teach a dog words that lead to technical and choreographic skills
- contact, different types of contacts
- handling, touching, encounters with strangers, children, the vet and other dogs
- Socialization – what it is and what it is not
- social anxiety, reactivity and ways to avoid it
- walking without pulling on a leash
- Retrievers, their breed characteristics and special features
- bringing things, handing them over to someone
- influencing the dog's state of mind.
The training includes 8 contact hours and a virtual lecture on Zoom. From April to October, training takes place outdoors in Harju County. In winter, we train indoors.
The price of the course per dog is 225 euros, for My Brand puppy owners it is 185 euros.
