We offer a variety of training courses for dogs and their owners at different skill levels. 

 1. MB PUPPY STARTER COURSE (L1)

This course is designed for retriever puppies aged 2-6 months, whose owners wish to establish a common communication language and a mutually effective relationship with their dogs. 

Course topics include:

• Dog needs, body language, communication methods, and calming signals
• How to praise and reward, what are hot/cold rewards, when treats work and when they don’t
• How to teach dogs words that lead to technical and choreographed skills
• Contact, different types of contact
• Handling, touching, encounters with strangers, children, vets, and other dogs
• Socialization – what it is and what it isn’t
• Social anxiety, reactivity, and ways to prevent them
• Walking without pulling on the leash
• Retrievers, their breed traits, and specifics
• Retrieving items and releasing them to a person
• How to influence a dog’s mental state

The course includes 8 contact sessions and a virtual lecture via Zoom. From April to October, training takes place outdoors in Harju County. In winter, sessions are held indoors. In the 2024 season, we’ll meet at Rannamõisa Petcity, Rannamõisa tee 8, 13516 Tallinn. The course fee per dog is 225 euros, and for My Brand puppy owners, it’s 185 euros.

 2. MB FOLLOW-UP COURSE (L2)

This course is designed for puppies and young dogs who have completed the Puppy Starter Course and wish to expand both handler and dog skills. 

Topics covered include:

• How the handler’s body language, voice, and posture affect the dog’s performance and relationship with humans
• Why handlers need acting skills, emotional dog management
• How to train persistence, calmness, and focus (engagement)
• Impulse control and different methods to train it in everyday life
• How to link tasks together, what backchaining is, and how to set training goals
• Dog adolescence – how to survive it without losing the relationship
• Searching, releasing, scent work, tracking

The course includes 8 contact sessions held in various locations depending on the topic. The course fee per dog is 225 euros, and for My Brand puppy owners, it’s 185 euros.

 3. MB ADVANCED COURSE (L3)

This advanced module focuses on retriever instincts and skills. These activities offer dogs the opportunity to perform breed-specific tasks and use their instincts in a controlled way. Whether you plan to take your dog hunting, to retriever trials, or simply want to provide fulfilling activities, this course teaches valuable skills for both handler and dog:

• Heel position, steadiness, and walking calmly by the handler
• Marking, memory, focus, stability, and steadiness during throws (marks)
• Stop whistle
• Directional commands: forward, left, right
• Steadiness in the presence of other dogs
• Searching, finding, and retrieving items
• Close search and wide search
• Tracking

4. PRIVATE TRAINING SESSIONS

Sometimes it’s necessary to take a deeper look into the relationship between the owner and the dog to improve cooperation and understanding. Or perhaps the dog still finds it challenging to focus in situations where other dogs are present. If you’d like to train with your dog without distractions, book a session. The price for a private training session is €25.
